An elementary school in the mountains of Taiwan is about to be abolished due to its decreasing population. The PE teacher is assigned to form a choir to win the national choir contest to help solve the crisis. With limited resources and absolutely no music background, the PE teacher and a group of tone-deaf students start to prepare for the contest. The choir and their community eventually find their own voice and identity.

即将废校的山区小学冀望参加合唱比赛拿奖争取续校，但仓促成军的团员毫无经验，连指挥都是体育老师充数。渐渐地，他们在练习中领会音乐之美，更在比赛的过程中理解到：虽然自己的声音和都市小孩“不一样”，但不一样没有不好，而是他们珍贵的天赋。以纪录片《看见台湾》片尾中在玉山顶唱歌那群偏远山区小学校長的故事为原型，导演将山林景致和天籁之音融入鲜活生动的喜剧中，重现原声之美。
